Here are the 3 notes all printed with different days and months but with the same year of 2016. The signatures on these 3 notes are not all the same either as they were issued on different dates. The five hundred zloty note is the largest denomination issued since Poland carried out the currency reform in the early 90s. In 1990, a set of new Zloty banknotes (1 Zloty to 500 Zloty - 9 notes) were printed but failed to release into circulation due to poor counterfeiting protection features. The currency reform conversion rate was then set at 10,000 old Zloty to 1 new Zloty. These rejected notes were then sold off as souvenirs with the word "
NIEOBIEGOWY" (non-negotiable) in red printed across on the notes, front and back. In 1994, a new set of 7 notes were printed to complete the currency reform with denomination values from 10 to 200 Zloty. Prior to the currency reform, the last Zloty old notes were printed with values between 50,000 and 2,000,000 Zloty all dated 1990.
The 10 and 20 Zloty were first issued on 01.01.1995. The 500 Zloty note was released into circulation on 10.02.2017. The word Zloty in Polish literally means Golden.
