Faeroe Islands new issues, released on 19.03.2012 with upgraded security features. The motifs of the designs are still the same such as Faroese animals and Faroese landscapes. The added advanced securities are the window thread with moving wave pattern. On the reverse, a mother-of-pearl thread and fluorescent colour is added to the new notes. All notes are signed by Dan Michael Knudsen and Aksel Vilhelmsson Johannesen
