Ulster Bank Limited
Currency : Pound Sterling (GBP)
This is a reprint of the £20 note dated 06.12.2018. This note bears the signature of Ross McEwan (a Kiwi), the CEO of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. Ross McEwan has since resigned from the Royal Bank of Scotland Group in April 2019 and is now employed by the National Australia Bank Group in Australia as Group Chief Executive Officer.
The design of this note is basically the same except it has a new signature and a new date. It is believed this is the last paper banknote issued for this denomination for Ulster Bank Limited, before switching it to polymer.
Watermark: I believe only the Ulster Bank paper banknotes, or one of the very few that are all printed with a unique watermark on it. If you hold up the note against the light, you should be able to see the bank's name "Ulster Bank Limited" embedded across the note, not once but at least 3 times for this £20 note. This has been a security feature for Ulster Bank's banknotes for many years. This note is printed by De La Rue, which is also printed on the back of the note.
Signature : Ross McEwan
Imprinter : De La Rue
