This is the new polymer series of banknotes issued on 04.10.2016. This note is printed with the date of 25.03.2016. The design for this note is similar to the 2007 paper series except that this polymer note incorporate see-through window security features. The signatures on this note belongs to Antonio Mota de Sousa Horta-Osorio (Governor) and Philip Grant (Treasurer). The size for the new series is also smaller than the paper print. The note is measured at 120mm x 66mm as compared to the paper note of 136mm x 70mm. Going forward, we also expect the size of the new £10 note 2017 be smaller than the paper note too. The first prefix for this series is AA with replacement prefix printed with ZZ. Of the two Scottish bank polymer issues recently, it seems that the Bank of Scotland replacement notes are much harder to find. Perhaps the replacement note for the Bank of Scotland only comes in as insert rather than by the bundle. There are no replacement notes printed or reported yet for the 2016 Clydesdale Bank polymer note.
