This is the last of the revised Zloty note for the 2012 (issued in 2014) series. The 200 Zloty is still the largest denomination circulating in the country. This note was released to the public on 12.2.2016. The main features of the design are still the same as those 1994 prints except that additional security/redesigned features are added/updated to the note. These are the tiny little reddish Omron rings added on both front and the back of the note, exposed security thread, the two sets of serial numbers are both printed horizontally, change in colours etc. When moving the banknote you can see a smooth colour changing from gold to green and checkered patterns move in vertical and horizontal positions on the security thread. Unlike those current issues of 10 to 100 Zloty, I can't see the printer name of PWPW printed on the note. I assume this note was printed by the Polish
Security Printing Works. However the following words/name are printed just under the image of King Sigismund l the old - Del A Heidrich SC T Chipper. I am not sure what this means. On the back of the note it looks like a "printing plate" number is also added to the note.
Whilst Poland has been a member of the European Community since 1.5.2004, the country has yet to adopt the EU common Euro currency yet. Certain convergence criteria must be met before Poland can adopt the Euro currency but there is no time frame for this. However it is believed that Poland will not adopt the Euro currency yet at least until 2020. Few other EU members that are obliged to join the common Euro currency but yet to adopt the Euro and they are Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Sweden.
Watermark: King Sigismund l the old
