This is the new Switzerland series of banknote issued on 12.04.2016. The note has the Year date of (20)15 as part of the prefix. The first prefix for this note is 15A. This 50 Francs is the first note issued for the new series. The new note comes with 3-signature varieties and they are signed by Jean Studer/Thomas Jordan, Jean Studer/Fritz Zurbrugg and Jean Studer/Jean-Pierre Danthine. As this is a Hybrid note, it has a frosty like see through window in a shape of the Swiss famous cross on the top right hand corner. These notes are manufactured with thin layer of polymer sheets (like laminated) over it to ensure it will last longer in circulations. Switzerland is the 31st nation/bank (both the European Union and Central African States counted as one each) that have issued Hybrid banknotes. All Hybrid banknotes issued so far are for general circulations including the The Royal Bank of Scotland £5 note Ryder Cup commemorative.
